Pauline’s mother is an oil painter and sculptor and her father is one of the founders of Tandem Computers. Her parents’ very polar vocations have greatly influenced her. With her mother she shares a love of art and its many forms and with her father an aptitude for mathematics and logic. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics as well as completing two years of the Architecture Program at Montana State University.
Artistic expression has always been a necessary component of Pauline’s life, through dance, sculpting, drawing and most recently Etch-A-Sketch®. In 2000, while running a woodworking business and sculpting, Pauline picked up an Etch A Sketch® and became fascinated with its potential. She realized it too could be used as a viable instrument of expression, and allow for a unique interpretation of the drawn image.
